We´re incredibly excited to start the week of the largest intercontinental competition between Team Europe and Team USA with a limited edition which pays tribute to the bratwurst and thus the cultural parallels between Whistling Straits and our roots.
When we got to discuss a partnership with the host of the 2021 venue of the largest intercontinental competition, Whistling Straits, we were stoked and excited – not knowing if this opportunity would result in a success or not: Writing this piece – we have not launched our limited edition – we do not know if this is going to be a success or not, but we are confident. For the first time ever, we managed to not only present our limited edition exclusively on www.vicegolf.com but also at the Whistling Straits pro shop. Several feedback loops back and forth, prototyping, added details, removed details, adapted sizes: This is what it took to finalize the edition we are excited to launch – VICE TAILGATE!

VICE TAILGATE
The TAILGATE theme is a perfect fit for this edition, celebrating the largest intercontinental competition in golf with a food – bratwurst – that has a deep cultural connection to the host region and our geographic home. “Tailgating” is often referred to as the culmination of a visit to the game, and is especially true of the upcoming event after spectators are allowed back after a long absence. We´re celebrating this with a trilogy of a ball-, cap- and towel edition.
The individually designed VICE PRO SOFT appears with an illustrated bratwurst logo with ketchup stripes as well as mustard stars, packed in an individually designed packaging in Dazzling Blue with the matching illustration of all ingredients for the next tailgate party. With a bright Dazzling Blue, the color of the edition is aimed at both Team Europe and Team USA.
Beyond the ball edition, we present the VICE SHINE TAILGATE towel as well as the VICE CREW CAP TAILGATE, which share the passion for detail. The cap in particular is peppered with details – whether it’s the color chosen, which is between the two shades of blue of the European and American flags, the detailed interrupted VICE TAILGATE logo on the front of the cap, ketchup and mustard in the form of stars and stripes embroidered on the sausages on the side, or the metal pin on the back of the cap showing our V logo and parts of the American and European flags.
