On the morning of December 12, 2017, the employees of Vice Golf’s founders and CEOs Ingo Düllmann and Rainer Stöckl stand on their new Munich office’s roof deck with a large cake. This day marks the five-year anniversary of the Munich golf ball startup that was the world’s first company to sell golf balls via direct distribution to golfers around the world – at considerably lower prices and with a dynamism and attention to detail that had never been seen before in golf.
When the VICE GUARD umbrellas were introduced two years ago, many customers were thrilled by the idea of canopies printed with camouflage patterns in the shape of fairways, which we photographed from the air.

Some might describe Erik Anders Lang as a late bloomer where golfing is concerned, but this particular bloom has flourished in no more than five years into a vibrant bouquet of a career.
Such a tournament is always greatly anticipated, but because there are some other huge events in between, the focus of the golf fans is never 100% on The Open.
